Nepal Women will take on Hong Kong Women in the 11th Match of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier at Bangkok. In what has been a rain-marred tournament, Nepal has managed to eek out a win whereas Hong Kong is yet to play a completed game so far.
Hong Kong started off as one of the favourites to make it to the semi-finals owing to their top-order duo of Natasha Miles and Mariko Hill. They would start as slight favourites with conditions suiting their arsenal of pace bowlers. Nepal, however, have the firepower to compete against the very best and will bank on their all-rounders, led by captain Indu Barma to step up. Although rain is likely to play a part, a full and completed game is on the cards on Tuesday.
The competition for the top four spots is set to intensify and so is trading in Nepal and Hong Kong Women player assets on Sixer. With this game also being a LiveTrade (In-match Trading) eligible game, where you can buy and sell stocks even after the start of the match, the possibilities are endless! On the same lines, here is a fantasy preview and playing XIs for the all-important match between Nepal and Hong Kong.
Nepal comes into this game on the back of a win against Bahrain, a game that they were expected to win. They have a good blend of youth and experience and have coped well in the absense of Sita Rani Magar. Expect Nepal to continue with the same side with minimal changes.
Probable Playing XI: S Khadka, R Chetry, I Barma (c), R Airee, R Thapa, K Kunwar, P Mahato, R Poddar, K Joshi, S Rai and R Sharma
Hong Kong's last outing saw rain wash the game out after just five overs. As with their counterparts, Hong Kong have no reason to shuffle around their personnel and should field the same side in all likelihood.
Probable Playing XI: N Miles (c), S Shahzad, M Hill, K Chan, Y Daswani, M Bibi, R Venkatesh, H Ying, I Sahar, A Siu and B Chan
Mariko Hill (Hong Kong): Perhaps the biggest name at the ICC Qualifiers, Mariko Hill is an astound top-order batter with heaps of experience to fall back on. She is also likely to double up with the ball with her dibbly-dobbly medium pace. Expect her to be in the thick of things against Nepal.
Yasmin Daswani (Hong Kong): Yasmin Daswani has made a career out of coming up with resilient knocks in the HK-W middle order. Daswani complements Hill perfectly with her technique and ability to rotate strike when needed to. She has gone past the 10-run mark in all of her last seven outings for HK-W and could be a viable option against Nepal as well.
Puja Mahato (Nepal): Nineteen-year-old Puja Mahato is one of Nepal's best allrounders, usually batting in the top order and taking wickets in the middle overs. She has been in decent form, impressing against Thailand and Netherlands not too long ago. With rain likely to play a part in this game, a rain-curtailed game could play into her hands given her dual skill-set.
Rubina Chhetry (Nepal): In contrast to Mahato, Nepal stalwart Rubina Chhetry isn't the greatest of forms. She has only three scores of ten or more in her last ten innings and has picked up just one wicket during that time. While the pitch conditions are subject to change and rain of course, Chhetry isn't likely to bat in the top order nor bowl her full quota of overs, leaving her in a precarious position and the Market likely leaning towards her Down stock.
