The Warriors of North West have a challenging task up against them as they face an unbeaten Leinster Lightning side in Oak Hill. The Warriors have lost both their games so far while the Lightning have lit up the competition with two complete performances in the first round of fixtures.
The Lightning have a good blend of youth and experience with Harry Tector and captain Lorcan Tucker leading the charge. But given the experience that the Warriors have at their disposal, Tucker and co can ill afford complacency.
Adding to the entertaining fixture will be the exciting LiveTrade (In-match trading) feature, enabling trades in players like Andy McBrine and Barry McCarthy even after the start of the match. All that's missing is a Sixer fantasy preview, which is why we're here! Here are a few tips and tricks to get yourself going.
Fionn Hand is in the matchday squad for the Lightning and could slot in for Totakhil. Hand adds extra depth with the ball, which could be crucial on a decent batting track. No changes are expected on the batting side.
Probable Playing XI: S Lynch, C de Freitas, H Tector, L Tucker (c&wk), G Dockrell, D Delany, G Hoey, B McCarthy, J Moondra, N Totakhil/F Hand and R Wilson
The North West Warriors would be tempted to go in with an unchanged side given their promising outing against Munster Red earlier in the week. The onus will be on Andy McBrine to anchor a bowling attack that has yet to click in the middle overs.
Probable Playing XI: S Topping (wk), A Balbirnie, J Egan, G Roulston, S MacBeth, A McBrine (c), C Melly, J Wilson, D O'Sullivan, J Wilson and R MacBeth
David Delany (Lightning): David Delany's price at the time of writing reads 4.74, which presents a curious case for a Sixer trader to ponder upon. Delany has international experience and the skill-set thats suited to the pitch - raw pace and a knack of scoring quick runs. He has scores of 2.31 and 2.84 but that shouldn't rule out a scenario where Delany makes full use of his skills and exploits the shortcomings of the opposition middle order, which is susceptible to raw pace.
Harry Tector (Lightning): Well, it isn't really rocket science to put Tector in this list. But, the signs are ominous. He is in decent form with the bat, already notching up a century and is likely to roll his arm as well with the ball. His failure against the Knights could well be a one-off with the signs possibly leaning towards another perfect ten for Tector.
Jared Wilson (North West Warriors): Jared Wilson has had his moments this season with both bat and ball. Wilson, who is more renowned for his batting, has chipped in with the ball, picking a wicket in his previous outing. With Wilson likely to bat higher up the order owing to his form, he presents a decent case for an UP trade.
