Bulls & Bears of the Week: de Kock Up 23% as Billings, Rahul Fantasy Shares Take Big Hit
What a week it has been in the Sixer Market! Although India didn't have the best of outings in the ODI series against South Africa, fantasy trades on Sixer made the most of the trading opportunities on offer. But who made the cut in this week's Bulls and Bears? Without further ado, here are the standout and not-so-great performers of the week!Bull #1: Quinton de Kock (South Africa)Quinton de Kock is the Bull of the Market and for good reason. Although the South African didn't start the three-match series against India on the right note, he turned up with the goods in the remaining games. The southpaw put in two man-of-the-match performances to lead South Africa to a dominant series win.As a result of his man-of-the-series performance, de Kock earned a 23.13% increase in the Sixer Market. Although his match score average of 84.80 across the week doesn't turn too many heads, his impact has resonated across the cricketing world. With de Kock now being exclusive to white-ball formats, he could be one to watch out for leading into the IPL auctions and the IPL itself!Bear #1: KL Rahul (India)While Quinton de Kock starred for the South Africans, it wasn't the same with KL Rahul. The stand-in Indian captain for the series, Rahul couldn't turn up with the goods with the bat, which in turn did impact India's fortunes. Although he did score a fifty in one of the three games, Rahul's match score average in the series read 39.00.Rahul's price dropped to 58.80 Sixer Coins as a result of a 13.15% dip over the week. However, the stylish right-hander is one of the best batters in the world, capable of playing both pace and spin equally well. Although there's a lot of flak around him overlooking his middle-order role, Rahul's class and potential should hold him in good stead going into the West Indies tour of India.Bull #2: Akeal Hosein (West Indies)Speaking of the Windies, they are currently in the midst of a cracking T20I series against perhaps the best white-ball team in the world, England. One of the stars of the show for the Windies has been Akeal Hosein, who also makes the cut as a Bull this week. The left-arm spinner has been a decent addition with the ball but his all-round ability has served the home side well against England.Akeal Hosein has averaged a match score of 114.56 in the series, the highest for any player across both West Indies and England rosters. This has helped his fantasy price up to 76.60 Sixer Coins, a 17.94% increase in two matches! With the pitches across this series likely to get slower, Akeal Hosein should ideally be the go-to man for West Indies. Perhaps an IPL contract on the offing for Akeal?Bear #2: Sam Billings (England)For every yin, there is a yang. For every Akeal Hosein, there is a Sam Billings, within the same series at least. Sam Billings, who is another individual eager to nail down a regular spot in the England set-up and also the IPL, makes the cut as a Bear this time around. The Englishman didn't have the best of starts to the five-match series, resulting in a match score average of just 7.92.This has impacted Billings' fantasy price big time with it now reading 41.70 Sixer Coins, a 17.72% drop from the start of the series. However, one needs to look only as far as the BBL to understand Billings' potential in the white-ball format. Capable of finishing games consistently, Billings isn't a bad option to have in your portfolio. With the pitches getting slower as already mentioned, Billings could be your man!
